Ebola Virus

Ebola is a rare but deadly infection that causes bleeding inside and outside the body. The disease, also known as Ebola hemorrhagic fever or Ebola virus disease, kills up to 90% of people who are infected. Ebola can spread from country to country when people travel.

Quarantine officers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport terminals are closely monitoring to all passengers for fever to prevent the Ebola virus from spreading to the Philippines. One of the doctors on duty at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal one said they questioned travelers with fever on the places they visited during the past ten days, based on instructions from the Department of Health and the world organization.

They are advised to strict in monitoring passengers from all airlines that arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Ebola virus has killed 72 persons in Eastern Guinea and that is neighbor, Senega has closed its borden to those coming from the outbreak stricken country.
